CLUTCH FAQ

HERE ARE THE ANSWERS TO OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

IF WE DON'T HAVE YOUR QUESTION COVERED PLEASE CONTACT US HERE.

DO I NEED A RESERVATION, REALLY?

For large groups (5 or more), yes.  For smaller groups and individuals, you’ll be able to walk in but we recommend you call ahead because lanes book quickly.

CAN I CHANGE MY RESERVATION?

Reach out to us using the contact info/booking ID on your reservation confirmation.  We’ll do our best to accommodate.

WHAT IF I'M RUNNING LATE FOR MY RESERVATION?

That is unfortunate and we really are sad for you—however, there are likely people booked in the following time slot that arrived on time. If you are late your group will start when everyone has arrived and end at the time of your original booking.

ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?

We do not have a specific age restriction, however it is 100% up to our coach's discretion and is based on strength and discipline. That said anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 12 years old and under must CALL TO BOOK.

WHAT AM I GETTING MYSELF INTO?

A great time.  Whether you made a group reservation or come as a walk-in, Clutch Shot will be welcoming and ready to help you real-axe (relax).

WHAT ABOUT SAFETY?

Your safety (and our own) is something we take seriously. There are simple rules in place that help make sure we all leave with as many fingers as we came in with.  One thrower at a time, separated throwing lanes and specific safe and throwing zones are a few of the biggies.

HOW DO I PLAY?

On the simplest level, you’ll be playing darts but with axes.  You’ll stand in your lane, behind the throwing line and test your metal—aiming for the bull’s eye.  One of our axe masters will walk you through the finer details of gameplay during your training session at the beginning of your time with us.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?

Nope, just desire. Every reservation starts with about 15 minutes of quality time with one of our axe masters. They’ll teach you the throwing techniques and safety precautions that will help everyone have the best time possible.

WHAT IF I NEED HELP DURING?

Our axe masters will be ready and happy to help.  Whether it's reviewing your grip or settling a score dispute, just ask!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Your lucky hat and closed toe shoes. The latter is mandatory. Other than that we recommend comfortable clothes that look cool and allow a full range of motion.
